Skip the rental counter lines and check in directly by using Alamo's touch-screen kiosk. Check-in using the kiosk and a receipt-sized rental agreement is printed. You'll be directed to your hire car on the lot. At the exit booth, show the booth agent your rental agreement and driving licence—and simply drive away.

In order to take advantage of this optional free service, you'll need to activate Accelerated Check-In online then choose the "Skip the Counter" option. Simply print your rental agreement to bring with you, and you are all set! Go directly to your car, show the booth agent your rental agreement and driving licence—and get on the road!

Rental Policies

All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements. Additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter. Additional drivers must sign the rental agreement. An additional daily fee may apply for any Additional Drivers. The additional driver can only be added to the contract at the pick up location. Note- State law in California, Illinois, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, and Wisconsin allow the spouse to be an automatic authorized driver as long as renter requirements are met.

11pm-5am Mon, Thu, Fri, Sat, and Sun. 10pm-6am Tue, and WedIf returning after hours, please place the keys and the rental jacket (noting the mileage and fuel level) in the Alamo return drop box located at the rental counter inside the Airport terminal.

This reservation is being made with a Contract ID number (CID) assigned to a Corporate Account for use exclusively by its eligible renters. Use of this CID by individuals other than eligible renters is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action. Renters using this CID may be required to show proof of employment or authorization (such as a business card, current email with company domain, work order, etc.). Questions about acceptable proof of employment or authorization should be directed to your Travel Manager.

Vehicles rented in the US can be driven throughout the US and Canada. Most locations do not allow travel into Mexico. If you wish to travel into Mexico, you will be required to purchase additional insurance to cover the vehicle while in Mexico. Please contact the branch directly to determine limitations and availability.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not insurance. The purchase of CDW is optional and not required in order to rent a vehicle. You may purchase optional CDW for an additional fee. If you purchase CDW we agree, subject to the actions that invalidate CDW listed on the rental agreement, to contractually waive your responsibility for all or part of the cost of damage to, loss or theft of, the vehicle. DW does not apply to damage occurring in Mexico. When deciding whether or not to purchase DW, you may wish to check with your insurance representative or credit card company to determine whether, in the event of damage to, or theft of, vehicle, you have coverage or protection for such damage or theft and the amount of your deductible or out-of-pocket risk.

The purchase of Extended Protection (EP) is optional and not required in order to rent a vehicle. This is a summary only and is subject to all provisions, limitations, exceptions and exclusions of the EP policy. Upon request, a copy of the policy is available for review. EP may provide a duplication of coverage already furnished under a personal insurance policy or some other source. Owner’s employees, agents or endorsees are not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of renter’s existing coverage. Optional EP provides you with minimum financial responsibility limits (at no charge to you) as outlined in the applicable motor vehicle financial responsibility laws of the state where the vehicle is operated AND excess insurance provided by the insurance policy. This supplies you and any authorized drivers with third-party liability protection with a combined single limit per accident equal to the difference between the minimum financial responsibility limits referenced above and $1,000,000 Combined Single Limit per accident. EP will respond to third party accident claims that result from bodily injury, including death, and property damage that arise from the use or operation of the vehicle as permitted in the Rental Agreement. The policy does not provide coverage for any loss arising from the use or operation of Vehicle in Mexico.

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel. Option 1 - Prepay Fuel --This option allows the renter to pay for the full tank of gas at the time of rental and return the tank empty. No refunds will be issued for unused gas. Option 2 - We Refill. --This option allows the renter to pay Alamo at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices. Option 3 - You Refill. --This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.

A valid drivers license from the customer's country of residence is required and must be presented at time of rental. The drivers license must be valid for the entire rental period. If the drivers license is in a language other than English, an International Drivers Permit is required along with the drivers license. Exceptions -- Japanese travelers may use the Japanese Drivers License Translation Service, which replaces the need for an International Drivers Permit. -- At California, Nevada and Phoenix-area airports and rental locations, renters with driver's licenses issued outside of the United States or its territories must produce a valid Passport. -- US Territories include American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Midway Islands.

Personal Accident Insurance/Personal Effects Coverage (PAI/PEC) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If accepted, the PAI contained in the policy provides renter and renter's passengers with accidental death, accident medical expenses and ambulance expense benefits. The PEC contained in the policy insures the personal effects of the renter, additional drivers or any member of the renter's immediate family who permanently resides in the renter's household and who is traveling with the renter against risks of loss or damage. Benefits are payable in addition to any other insurance coverage the renter or passengers may have. This is a summary only. PAI/PEC is subject to the provisions, limitations and exclusions of the PAI/PEC policy underwritten by Empire Fire and Marine Insurance Company in the United States or ACE INC Insurance in Canada. 12 & 15 Passenger Vans Renters of these vehicles must be 25 years of age or older. If the primary driver of this vehicle is 25 years of age or older, they must accept the terms and conditions below. The following terms apply to the rental of this type of vehicle, in addition to those set forth in the Rental Agreement. Please read before booking your rental. The van will not be operated or used in Canada. The van does not meet Federal Bus Safety Standards and will not be used to transport children in the twelfth (12th) grade or younger, other than family members, for school related functions. Additional Terms & Conditions, if renting in California Each driver of the van shall possess the requisite driver's license necessary for the operation of the van dependent on usage and/or organizational status of the renting company. That if the van is to be used for transporting passengers for hire or profit, or by any nonprofit organization or group, all drivers of the van shall possess a valid class B license with a passenger transport endorsement. That if the van is used by any public or private school or school district (including any California community or state college), as governed by Section 39800.5 of the Education Code or Section 10326.1 of the Public Contract Code, all drivers of the van shall possess a valid class B license with a passenger transport endorsement. Additional Terms and Conditions if renting in Rhode Island All renters and additional drivers must have liability insurance that transfers to a large passenger van. For a commercial auto policy the renter/driver must have minimum liability coverage of $1,000,000 that transfers to a large passenger van. Additional Terms and Conditions if renting in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Vermont All renters and additional drivers must have verifiable collision, comprehensive and liability insurance. Vans may not be used to transport non family members that are in the twelfth (12th) grade or younger A major credit card is required for deposit to rent a 12/15 passenger van in New York, Vermont and Newark Airport. Credit Card - A credit card, with available credit and in the renter's name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction. Puerto Rico --The following credit cards are accepted for rentals in Puerto Rico-- American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Diners Club, Discover. Pay Now Reservations --Pay Now reservations cannot be modified, changed or cancelled online; you must call 1-800 GO ALAMO -800-462-5266-. Changes to pickup and-or drop-off location will require a cancellation of the original reservation and re-booking of new reservation with current rates. If the reservation is cancelled more than 24 hours before the pick up time, a 5.00 USD cancellation fee will be assessed. If the reservation is cancelled within 24 hours of the pick up or is not picked up at all, a 10.00 USD no-show fee will be assessed. Any optional insurance or CDW product selected at the time of reservation may be cancelled at the counter at the time of rental without incurring a cancellation fee. Guaranteed Reservations-- A -Guaranteed Reservation- may be required for specialty vehicle reservations, such as minivan, SUV, and convertible car classes at all Corporate locations and at participating licensee locations. During booking, vehicles that display the message -This vehicle requires a credit card for creating the reservation- will be considered a -Guaranteed Reservation-. If a guaranteed reservation is required for your trip, credit card information will be secured. Cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours before reservation date and time. If a Guaranteed Reservation is cancelled more than 24 hours before the pick-up time, no cancellation fee will be assessed. If the reservation is cancelled within 24 hours of the pick up or if the reservation is not used, a 50.00 USD cancellation fee will apply.

Renter may purchase Roadside Plus (RSP) from Owner for an additional fee. If Renter purchases RSP, Owner agrees, subject to the actions that invalidate Collision Damage Waiver, to contractually waive Renter’s responsibility for the cost to provide 24/7 roadside assistance (where available) which includes replacement of lost keys (including remote entry devices), flat tire service (if no inflated spare is available, the vehicle will be towed. Cost of a replacement tire is not covered by RSP), lockout service (if the keys are locked inside the vehicle), jumpstarts, and fuel delivery service for up to 3 gallons (or equivalent liters) of fuel if Vehicle is out of fuel. Roadside Plus services are only available in the United States and Canada. If Renter does not purchase RSP, or RSP is invalidated as set forth above, roadside assistance will be available, but standard charges will apply. RSP does not apply in Mexico. St Petersburg International Airport, Florida with Alamo
This is the airport you'll be landing in when you visit the Sunshine State's cities of St Petersburg (or "St. Pete" as the locals like to call it) and Clearwater, which with the city of Tampa constitute the region known as "the Tampa Bay Area" of Florida.
If you want to get the best out of this part of Florida, your best option is to arrange a hire car; it's great to have wheels of your own to travel out to see the wonderful sights and attractions.
As it happens, both cities acquired a somewhat unfortunate reputation in years gone by, which is thankfully now changing for the better. Clearwater, for its rather staid 1950's-style downtown area and for the fact that it became home to the Church of Scientology, and St Petersburg, for its somewhat incompatible juxtaposition of hosting raucous college student spring-break parties while being the state's retirement capital.
Clearwater locals are highly ambivalent about the concentration of Scientologists in their city and most resolutely don't want it to be defined by that somewhat eccentric feature. Like Tampa, Clearwater and its lovely beach hold the enviable record of enjoying 361 days per year of continuous sunshine (check it out in The Guinness Book of Records).
The beach area is exceptionally lively, especially in the summer months when it fills with sun-worshipping extended families and coeds, but it's blessed with talcum-white sand and glorious turquoise sea that simply beseeches you to come in and take a dip. The beach is heavily peppered with lively bars, hotels and seafood snack huts, especially near the area known as Pier 60. Every evening as the sun sets, the day's end is celebrated at Pier 60 with a veritable carnival of musicians, magicians and other performers.
If you'd prefer a quieter and less populous beach to chill, try the family-friendly 65-acre Sand Key Park and Beach (but bring your own lunch - the snacks that adorned Clearwater Beach are not to be found here).
One of the best ways of seeing the natural beauties St Petersburg has to offer is to take the enchanting St Petersburg Segway Nature Tour; a knowledgeable guide escorts small groups of visitors though the area's natural treasures. Gaze at manatees and dolphins in the sparkling sea, as you move along the Tampa Bay seawall and enjoy the flamingos, koi-filled ponds and bounteous orchids in the exotic Sunken Gardens.
